hi there! my name is Scott, i’m a teacher and a Canvas developer/admin and WordPress admin and i noticed you have the repo for the M.O.L.I.E. plugin, which, despite being 2 years old does seem to do its job in the latest WordPress pretty well. the screencaps aren’t visible for some reason (maybe it’s my slightly old Safari version), but i figured it out.
anyway, the reason i wrote is that you appear to be the best technical point of contact on the features of M.O.L.I.E. the main issue i’m having is that i need export ability to the linked Canvas course rather than import ability from Canvas via WordPress. what i would love to do is, whenever a user in a particular user group is added to WordPress, be able to export that user to the appropriate Canvas course. it would then create a user with basic permissions and they would receive an email that their user ID was created (basically call a New User function in Canvas via SIS from script using default settings).
since you were the one who created the integration, i thought i would inquire on the possibility of this. based on what i see, i think this functionality would have to be added. we’re currently in beta at the moment, so we can get by, but once we start getting into production mode in the Fall, some method of automating user creation in Canvas via WordPress will be desirable. there may be some limited budget available for some custom work, if you have interest.
