Pliny was a tool based on submitting data to a Learning Registry node. In early versions of the learning registry, people experimented with the notion of paradata. Paradata is data regarding how a resource is used (visits, likes, ratings).

Pliny allowed a user to access their google analytics account and then turn their google analytics data into paradata which you could then submit to a learning registry node.

Pliny was named after the discoverer of the first dinosaur footprints, Pliny Moody
